Can you File a Police Report After Leaving the Scene of a Car Accident in Brooklyn?

Car Accident InsuranceQuestion:

I hit someone from behind this morning.  It turns out, it was a coworker. Both cars were fine but she said her neck was hurting a LITTLE. Now she texted me, saying she wants to go to see a doctor because her neck hurts and is asking for insurance info.  But, she left the scene without getting any of my insurance information. Should I still give it to her even though she left without getting it then was fine to leave?

Answer:

In Brooklyn and in New York in General, you should give them the insurance info as it does not matter what the person said at the scene in regards to injuries, nor does it matter that they left the scene without obtaining your insurance information.
