Clients benefit when the attorneys who represent them can provide both experience and endurance. Litigation is a marathon with many twists and turns as each case proceeds through the civil justice system. Experience supports and enables the ability to predict what is likely to happen as a case unfolds and respond as necessary to the occasional surprise. Weinstein, Chase, Messinger & Peters, P.C. can provide this level of competence because of the history and development of our firm.
Weinstein, Chase, Messinger & Peters, P.C. originated in 1955 as Weinstein & Chayt, P.C., with an office in Brooklyn, New York. Since 1958, our principal office has been located at 26 Court Street. We are among the oldest continuous law firms in Brooklyn.
In November of 1992, our name became Weinstein, Chayt and Chase, P.C. when Marc J. Chase and Irwin J. Weinstein succeeded to continue the firm as its next generation. The firm continued to expand and grow when in 1999, Weinstein, Chayt and Chase, P.C. merged with and acquired the firm of Williams and Geiger, another venerable and longstanding Brooklyn firm. In 2000 the firm acquired the law firm of Finkelstein and Kleiznick, Esquires. In addition, in that same year, we also absorbed the negligence cases previously handled by Ferguson and Peters (no relation to Jeff Peters). In 2003, Norman Williams became Of Counsel to the firm.
The legal environment is similar to the business environment in that firms must grow and become strong to better serve and represent their clients. Weinstein, Chase, Messinger & Peters, P.C. is committed to both increasing its strength and ability to compete, while continuing to provide personal and superlative service.
We are proud of the fact that other attorneys who have built practices and done an admirable job of representing their clients turned to us when it came time to leave their practice. Our reputation for fairness and honesty led these firms to seek us when they needed safe and appropriate representation for their clients.
