Does my Injury effect my Union Benefits?

When somebody is injured and they are a member of the union, depending upon the severity of their injuries, they may see that their union benefits become jeopardized.  The more seriously injured a person is and disabled from their jobs for a lengthy period of time, they will lose out on union benefits by not having the continuity of time devoted to the job and when you lose your union benefits, it affects your pension, your medical benefits and things of that nature.

If you’re out of work for a short period of time, it won’t often affect your union benefits, but if you are seriously injured or disabled and unable to work on your job for a lengthy period of time this oftentimes jeopardized the union benefits that you have worked for so long and hard to acquire.
